Babes-Bolyai University is an academic educational public institution aiming to promote and sustain the development of specific cultural components within the local, regional, national and international community.

The scientific research is a fundamental component of the Babes-Bolyai University’s activity, and as such it is used as one of the main evaluation criteria for assessing qualifications and appraising academic performance. Scientific research underlies the process of higher education, which provides training of highly qualified human resources; it also constitutes, through the teaching load, a professional commitment. According to the principles of academic freedom and university autonomy, and in compliance with the ethics and professional codes of conduct, scientific research is free of restrictions and provisions.
